Pacific Rim Paddling Company offers sea kayak tours in spectacular British Columbia on Canada's West Coast, in the island archipelago of Haida Gwaii in Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, off Vancouver Island's east shore to see the Resident Orca (killer whale) pods of Johnstone Strait and the internationally renowned Clayoquot and Barkley Sounds. We also offer sea kayaking adventures on Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic, the tropical South Pacific coral islands of Tonga and winter/spring kayak trips on Mexico's Baja Penninsula on the Sea of Cortez.

Pacific Rim Paddling has been offering international world class sea kayak tours for over 26 years. We focus on the natural and cultural history of each area we visit and our fresh savory meals are considered a trip highlight. Our minimum-impact camping tours run from six to twelve days with maximum group sizes of 8-10 and always with two professionally qualified ACSKG or Sea Kayak Alliance certified guides.

Good Bye Haida Gwaii!

It is with much regret that we have made the decision not to offer trips in Haida Gwaii for 2013 and until further notice. The islands hold many fond memories for myself and others close to me and will always be a special place to us. This was made all the more so with the advent of the earthquake just a few months ago and the drying up of the hot springs on Hot Springs Island. For me, that was a reminder of how fleeting the wonders of nature can be and that we should never take them for granted if we value them.
