Q: What's a TRIP organizer DISCOUNT?

A: Say you're popular. You have a group of 8-10 friends or co-workers or traveling companions or a soccer team, a family reunion, a knitting club.....you get the picture.... and all of you are jazzed to come kayaking.

Not only will you get a custom, private trip catered to your preferences, YOU, acting as the organizer, will get to come for FREE.

That's 100% off.

Just think of it as a little thank you from us at PRP.

The fine print:

A Hakai Recreation Area fishing story.....

World class diving and salmon fishing. Rugged wind swept islets. Wolves, killer whales, sea birds. This area promises to deliver exceptional wildlife viewing opportunites, true wilderness camping and a chance to immerse oneself in a pristine coastal environment that still sees relatively few visitors. One of my favorite memories of this area was fishing from my kayak with a handline. A romantic notion at first, it can rapidly escalate into a tricky balancing act. My first word of advice is to have a good friend nearby to call on for assistance once you have a fish on.

More added value for BC tours!

As well as including camping equipment rentals in select BC kayak tours, PRP will also be including up to two nights accommodation at pre selected B&Bs in all Haida Gwaii tour prices.

Added VALUE for 2011 tours

Marmot tent on driftwood platform

Stay warm and dry out there! This year, our tour prices on select BC and Arctic tours will include complimentary rentals of some camping gear. These will be provided on a "first requested, first served basis" from a limited supply.

2010 Season Wrap up

Hello all!

First: a BIG, HUGE "Thank You" to everyone who helped make our 2010 season a success and to all you lovely folks who endured Morgan, Martin and I as a necessary evil on your kayak trip! Good thing there were gnats, flashfloods, breaching whales, bears strolling through camp, glass balls, moonsnails and river canyons to distract us. The weather this summer spoilt us as well. We had to turn our rain tarp into a sun shelter for all of July.

Haven’t heard from us in a while?

Anyone else got ODD?

As I sit here in front of my computer day in and day out typing the minutes and hours away, my appreciation and need for a regular dose of nature and fresh air become more and more acute. After some discussion with like minded friends we decided to name this condition ODD or Outdoor Deficit Disorder. Since I have spent so much of my life outdoors, guiding , travelling, living….I never had the contrast between outdoors and indoors as I do now.

Arctic INSPIRATION

So, it’s been a few months, but Dave is still quite proud to have gotten his Arctic kayak expedition pictures on a full page spread of the Winter 2009 issue of Wavelength Magazine.

You can have a look at: http://www.wavelengthmagazine.com/2009/WI09/higharctic.html

24 hr daylight gives Arctic pictures that warm, rosy alpenglow.

KABLOONA in the Yellow kayak, by Victoria Jason.
