Pacific Rim Paddling Company is in its 23rd year of operating top quality sea kayak tours. We focus on the natural and cultural history of each area we visit, and our menu reflects our belief that much of the excitement of travel is in culinary adventures. Our minimum-impact camping tours run from six to fourteen days, with maximum group sizes of 8-10. Those with little or no previous kayaking experience will find our sea kayak trips easily accessible yet energizing, while those who are more seasoned paddlers will still find our tours sufficiently challenging.
Each year better than half our sea kayak trip spaces are filled by returning clientele and their friends, most of whom had never been on a guided tour before. Our personalized attention and small groups help to ensure that you’ll feel like an individual rather than part of a herd.
For the best in attention to detail, concern for your comfort and safety, and years of experience in guiding sea kayak tours in some of the finest destinations in the world. Contact us today to reserve your kayak trip.
Trip Cancellation Insurance: Because of the increasing number of experiences we and our clients have had over the last few years, we strongly advise you get trip cancellation insurance for all portions of your trip. This covers you in case of illness or accident to you, a family member, or travelling companion, and in case of jury duty. Since we are often unable to fill a spot on a trip at the last moment (when these unhappy events always happen), and usually have already pre-paid costs on a trip, to ensure our expenses are met we must have payment in full by no later than 60 days before the trip-start date, after which point it becomes non-refundable. In addition, a portion of the deposit is also non-refundable.
You must buy trip cancellation insurance at the time of registration (before you date your deposit cheque), to avoid charges of fraud by the insurance company were you to have to use it. If you get it after you've registered, they suspect pre-existing conditions, which aren't insured for. Your travel agent might sell it to you; if you can't get it elsewhere, we recommend our travel agent Don Maile. He can set it up for you, and accepts credit cards. This insurance usually costs about 7% of the price of the trip. For more info fax him at 250-598-6207 or email at donmaile@shaw.ca.
